BBS Secondary School Moving!

The BBS secondary school will move in summer 2020. BBS became owners of a building complex in Granitzstr. 38(A) in December last year.

We are now in the starting blocks to submit our building application and continue the planning for the move. Although ambitious, we hope to be in Pankow for the new school year. This will now become our home for the years to come. We are very happy that the long search has now come to an end and that we can look positively into the new year. The new building covers almost 1000m2 with a spacious schoolyard. The physics, bio and chemistry laboratory will be located on the ground floor. Of course there will also be an art, music and IT room at this location. Our library as well as the terrace will be the chill-out zones for secondary school students. There will also be a teachers' room, room for our social worker and the secretariat.

Therefore, on January 23rd the BBS Secondary School's Open Day will take place for the last time in Kandinksy Haus (Weißensee).

STEM Week 2026

STEM Week 2026 brought innovation to life with its exciting theme, “Technology and Communication". Throughout the week, students immersed themselves in a dynamic program of specially designed lessons that sparked curiosity and creativity.

From inventing their own extraterrestrial forms of communication in “Translating an Alien Language” to exploring historic and modern coding systems like semaphore and Morse code, every activity was hands-on and inspiring. Students even uncovered the secrets behind the legendary Enigma machine, gaining insight into how technology has shaped the way we share information.
