Black History Month

Posted on 2nd Feb 2026

Black History is OUR history! Black History Month gives our BBS community a dedicated moment to highlight stories, achievements, and perspectives that have too often been overlooked. By learning about Black scientists, artists, thinkers, and leaders from around the world — including here in Germany — our students gain a fuller understanding of history and a deeper sense of empathy, fairness, and respect for one another. Families and students are invited to look at the displays in the Primary lobby and to explore our collection of books and resources on Black history in the school library throughout the month.
