STEM Week - Grade 10

Posted on 22nd Apr 2025

STEM week focused on engineering solutions to real-world problems through design and experimentation.

The Grade 10 students used their knowledge of plate tectonics to predict earthquake locations. They then explored different engineering approaches and designed, built, and tested their earthquake-proof buildings.

Supported by the Royal Society of Engineering, four groups built 36cm tall toy-brick towers with a 250g mass, testing their resistance to shaking.
