Janitor

For our bilingual school with currently approx. 300 primary and 110 secondary pupils we are looking for a committed janitor. The atmosphere is characterised by the international composition, the team-oriented collegial cooperation and the great commitment by parents. The community-based and holistic learning environment aims to strengthen social skills, defines the educational process as a 'journey of discovery' and combines the best teaching methods from different cultures.

We are looking for a Janitor
€450,00 up to max. 50% part-time for  Berlin Bilingual School| starting 01.10.2019

Your Tasks

  • Basic schoolyard maintenance
  • Small handiwork
  • Small purchases (i.e. milk, coffee)
  • Occasionally accepting packages
  • Morning inspection rounds

Sports Teacher wanted!

We - the Berlin Bilingual Secondary School - are looking for a dedicated sports teacher!

THE ROLE

  • Collaboration in an English-German secondary school with approx. 130 students
  • Teaching PE to students (age range from 12 to 18 years)
  • Implementing and managing different sports workshops and teams, e.g. the BBS basketball club
  • Development of lessons in the above-mentioned subject for our secondary school according to the concept and mission statement of the Berlin Bilingual School

THE CANDIDATE

  • German second state examination or equivalent degree, e.g. Master of Education or Bachelor of Science in P.E.
  • English mother tongue (or at least C1 level) and good knowledge of German
  • Knowledge and support of inclusive and innovative teaching concepts
  • Experience in international educational contexts is an advantage

Please note that under Berlin state law we are only able to employ: Teachers who hold a university degree in primary/elementary school education and/or their QTS qualification. Without this qualification we are unable to offer any position, regardless of the applicants' experience. Qualifications such as TEFL or CELTA teacher are not adequate. Carers who have a relevant qualification in early childhood/nursery education. Without this qualification we are unable to offer any position, regardless of the applicants' experience.
