Excerpt Of Your Tasks
- Supporting and fostering children (Grades 1–6) in formal and informal learning situations
- Helping to shape an age-appropriate daily routine within the full-day programme
- Building respectful relationships and fostering social-emotional skills
- Planning and delivering educational, creative and sports activities and projects
- Developing mixed-age workshops and leisure activities
- Supporting inclusive work in small groups
- Observing and documenting children’s educational and developmental processes
- Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, with parents and teachers
- Participating in relevant meetings, team sessions and school events
- Contributing to the further development of the extended school day programme (Ganztags)
What We Are Looking For
- State-recognised qualification as an educator (Erzieher:in), an equivalent pedagogical qualification, or relevant Quereinsteiger:innen qualifications
- Open-mindedness and a strong appreciation of diversity
- Enthusiasm for working with primary school-aged children
- Creativity, initiative and enthusiasm for working in an international setting
- Empathy, strong teamwork skills and a respectful, supportive attitude
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A solution-oriented and reliable approach to work
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
- Fluent written and spoken German and/or English skills

Under Berlin state law we are only able to employ:
Teachers who hold a university degree in primary/elementary school education and/or their QTS qualification. Without this qualification we are unable to offer any position, regardless of the applicants' experience. Qualifications such as TEFL or CELTA teacher are not adequate.
Educators who are state-recognized or have an equivalent recognized qualification such as:
- state-recognized social workers, graduate social educators and graduate pedagogues.
- Persons who have applied for a lateral entry (Quereinstieg) through the Senate Department for Education, Youth and Family on the basis of a related pedagogical professional qualification.
- Persons with equivalent qualifications obtained abroad and recognized by the state of Berlin.
Without one of these qualifications we are unable to offer a position, regardless of the applicants' experience.
